Jølvassbu is a small, intimate campsite with trout fishing as the main activity. You will find us by the river Jølstra with Jølstravatnet 100 m away, just off the E39 at Vassenden in Sunnfjord, halfway between Bergen and Ålesund. It is within walking distance to fishing spots, marked hiking trails, a beach, supermarket and restaurant. 5 minutes by car to a golf course and ski center. Boats, canoes and kayaks for rent.

An ideal starting point for fishing in one of Europe's best trout streams. We have extensive experience with sport fishing, and are happy to share our knowledge with our guests. Go to Jølsteraurefest for a digital map of the best fishing spots. Fjord fishing with or without a boat. We will tell you about good fishing spots and have equipment for rent or sale. Day trips to glaciers and mountains, fjords or cities, all within an hour's drive. A variety of marked hiking trails with maps, from very easy to demanding, also several with a guide.

Jølvassbu Camping is open all year round. Drop-in from April to September, or by appointment.

We can offer:

6 cabins with 2–9 beds and a gap for hammocks.
Facilities for tents, campers and caravans.
Fishing in the lake, river or fjord.
Paddling on Jølstravatnet with kayak and canoe.
Trips in the forest and fields, in the mountains and on the glacier.
Fishing licenses/equipment for sale/rental and boats.
Opening hours: Open all year round, drop-in from April to the end of September, otherwise by appointment.
