Restaurant Låven serves an à la carte menu based on local ingredients. Our specialty is the self-caught Jølstra trout – served boneless and pan-fried.
In the art gallery we have gallery exhibitions of local and national artists throughout the year.
The Jølstra Museum is a private village museum with houses up to 400 years old and several thousand historical household and decorative items, mainly from Jølster. Take time to enjoy the natural garden that surrounds the houses.

Heidi Fossheim and Frode Årdal welcome you to their own yard at the Jølstra Museum. It was Heidi's grandfather who started the museum in 1921. Heidi and Frode emphasize conveying both the history of Jølstra and the food in a warm and authentic way. Many guests come back again and again to the Jølstra Museum, precisely because of the good food and the warm atmosphere that the hosts provide.
